As an admin, I want to manage who has access to my space, so that I can control who sees and contributes to my content at a granular level.
Acceptance criteria
1. Space privacy settings (from space settings and homeapage)
Admins can see the space Privacy on Space Settings.
The subtitle reflects the selected mode:
Private: “Only invited people can access this space and its content.”
Public: “This space is visible to everyone. All content is public by default.”
Admins can also open sharing settings from the homepage through (⋯) → Share space access.
2. Roles and permissions
A public space can include:
Writers: Can edit content.
Members: Can read content and have joined the space.
Email subscribers: Have subscribed to updates.
A private space can include:
Writers: Invited to edit content.
Members: Invited to read content.
Permission management
The member list displays everyone with access and the role.
Admins can change roles and remove access.
Writers can change roles and remove access for anyone except admins.
3. Changing privacy
Admins can set a space to Private or Public from Space Settings using a toggle.
Public to Private
The admin is warned that: Link sharing will be disabled. The admin must confirm the change. The admin can make either the entire space or selected documents private.
Private to Public
The admin is warned that all space content will become visible. The admin must confirm the change.
4. Invitations and sharing
Private spaces:
Users can only be invited by email. Link sharing is unavailable. On a first stage, people can be found by searching for users who already have a Seed account.
Public spaces:
Users can be invited by email or through a shareable link.
5. Access visibility in private spaces
Space Settings displays:
Pending invitations that have not been accepted.
An option to resend each pending invitation.
Whether each user has access to:The entire space, or Specific documents only.
