we just released 2026.8.9, and this introduced the new document collections.

In order for that to work, we are saving a new attribute called type with the value Collection.

Is this OK and correct? or should we change the attribute name or attribute value to something else?

We need to decide this now since is in production and we don't want wrong data everywhere.

Conclusion

we will remove the type attribute

change the name from Collection to Folder

document collection = document with JUST a query block

we will get the collection type in the documentInfo thanks to the indexer

I will make sure I enable all the current UX to the new rules
